My Nokia 300 only rings twice before going to voicemail. This is not enough time for me to get at my phone, unlock it and answer it.
Nokia website tells me that only the service provider can extend the number of rings / ring time. How can I get O2 to do it?

I've tried this on my Sony phone and it still only rings 4 times before going to answer phone. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

I have recently acquired a Samsung S8 and the ring time is too short for me to get to the phone. Can anyone offer a suggestion.

Yes, the solution is here https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Other-devices/how-can-I-get-O2-to-extend-ring-time-before-a-call-goes-to/m-p/443788#M37993
Just dial as if you were calling a phone number then press the call button.
