Nokia 800-'sim missing or invalid'

Anonymous
Not applicable
So my O2 phone no longer accepts my O2 sim and it kept telling me my sim was invalid and that there was an error. I cleaned it and everything but it still didn't work. I then bought a new payandgo micro-sim yesterday and it happened again. Currently i can't call anyone or receive any calls/texts.
Any ideas as to how i can solve the problem? Thanks x

If you have tried two different sims it would appear the problem is with the phone. Have you tried the sims in another handset?

Apply some sticky tape to the back of the SIM and carefully trim around it - Intention is the make the SIM card slightly thicker to make better contact with the phone.

I don't think the lock status will make any difference if the phone isn't reading the SIM card anyway....
