No more wireless charging :-(

My Nokia 820 no longer charges via the wireless charging plate.

Has this happened to anyone else?

It's only 3 months if it was a refurbished unit.
Best to contact Nokia directly rather than O2's repair cowboys - They don't have a good reputation....

Have you tried a different charger or charging plate?

I don't know anyone else with such a charger to try theirs, but it does charge via the cable. That's so last decade though!

Somehow you need to figure out if it's the phone or the charging plate that has the issue. Maybe see if an O2 store will test it for you...?

I know.

I have been into a store asking about the warranty, but they thought it had expired, even though they couldn't check.

I have a 2nd back cover, which when tried also did not work.

The light on the charging plate remains dead whatever I do.

Sounds like the phone then.....
How long have you had it - Nokia warranty should be for 2 years.....

Really, I thought with the light in the charging plate remaining dead, plus the fact a second phone shell being tried it is more likely to be the charger.

I got the kit November last year.

Well it's well within warranty either way, but to me it sounds like the charging circuit in the phone not kicking in, but ideally you'd need to try it on another charge plate.

Yes, I do need to try it.

The store first said the warranty was 3 months.

Then they said 1 year, which I'd be out off by a couple of days.

They didn't offer to try it.
