BB10 OS update

I believe the OS update is being rolled out. Any idea when O2 will have the update?  It's meant to prolong battery life etc.

You finding out about the update is much appreciated. 

Bit disappointing that Vodafone feel its a worthwhile update (and a lot of other carriers worldwide) but O2 does not. 

The improvements were to battery life and a few other features.

I also fail to see what O2 have to lose in making this immediately available. In fact, the fixes may save support time in the longer term.

The update did get some good feedback on a few of the tech blogs I've just read.

I can imagine you hoped for different news and that it's disappointing we're not testing the update. So, if that changes, I will let you know straight away.

I hope your battery performance is still okay for now though.

Leonard, I really appreciate you investigating this for us, and of course we realise the problem is not of your making! However, O2 appears to be acting against everybody's interest in delaying / ignoring this for no obvious or logical reason.

Yea, I understand, guys and again, I'm very sorry it's not going to be tested for now. There could be many reasons for that decision, so if that changes, you'll definitely find an update here.

The logical conclusion is that a Z10 on the O2 network is an inferior product.

Yes thanks Leonard for taking the time to look into this. I wasn't keen on the work around, inserting a sim from another network to get the update. I prefer to rely on my own network, however this bit of news is not encouraging for future firmware releases

Interestingly I phoned o2 About this today, They confirmed that they had rolled out 10.0.10 and it would take a few days for it to show up for everyone?

Perhaps I was lied to.

I will give it a couple of weeks. 

If no joy from O2 then looks like will have to use an alternative sim route to update OS.
