Well..... I don't know what to think about this 'innovation'
.The collection includes tables, desks and lamps which have wireless charging pads in them. The wireless charging works through an energy induction transfer. The furniture itself needs to be connected to a power source....
My first reaction is...this will stop you moving your furniture around as it has to be connected to a power source!!!.... My next question would be..... how on earth would you charge your phone by putting it on a lamp?
It did make me smile though when I read that Ikea will be selling power kits that can be built into existing furniture.Mmmmmmm...not sure I would be letting my other half loose on that little job

I'm sure we will start to see these in various fast food outlets in the near future. I like the idea though I wouldn't have one in the home, I would just settle for a simple wireless dock.

Kudos to McDonalds for a brilliant marketing ploy. Obviously you wont be able to make use of these charging ports....unless you have just purchased a double Mac with fries?

You would be surprised how long a cup of coffee lasts me....
Surely most people you see in these places are busy using their phones anyway though.
