I spotted the lack of distinction between active and dormant, unfortunately it was no help in getting the answer right tongue
Thanks for the quiz and well done to all slight_smile

As soon as you said lack of clarity @MI5, I knew you were talking about the volcano question.(Active v Non active)

That was  the reason I went for Teide and would have argued the toss had it been wrong. LOL

Edited to add, Well done everyone. Looking forward to next one. yahoo

Thank you @MI5  @Cleoriff  and @LukasB for your comments.

Really pleased you enjoyed this quiz.

I knew that not clarifying the volcano question would make it more challenging, but then two regulars mentioned Elbrus, so learnt something new, too.

Hope you all like today`s WRQ questions Thinking

Mt Teide is over 7,500m from base to peak, as it stands on the ocean floor, including Tenerife. The Russian one is in the middle of a mountain range, so loses hands down. Teide was last active in 1900s, Etna rrmains active today, Elbrus is dormant since the middle ages or earlier.

Great quiz @Mi-Amigo, and well done everyone!

Lost my fizz with Jerome, you'll note 🤣
