What is your all time favourite film?

Do you like a film because of the actors? the script/storyline? the soundtrack? the production?

There's so many different random films that I like I don't think I can choose just one.

To name a few: Batman Forver, Batman: Dark Knight, Die Hard (1-3), Terminator (1 and 2), X Men, Avatar (although I had to watch it at least 5 times before I understood it), Dirty Dancing (classical chick flick), Hangover, Man on Fire, Saw.

My favourites are different depending on what mood I'm in when I list them. But these ones are generally always near the top of the list:

The Counterfeiters
Winter's Bone
Black Swan
Four Months, Three Weeks and Two Days
Persepolis
Attack The Block
Girl, Interrupted
Lord of the Rings (all 3)
The Hunger Games
Moon
2001: A Space Odyssey

Others too... but I find it oddly hard to remember them!

Hunger Games is good - i haven't seen the new film though.

I'm watching a Sky recording of one my faves now, the original Karate Kid (first one from 30 years ago)

Such a shame that Mr Miyagi died in 2006, he was a regular on Happy Days as well back in the 80s.

'Wax on, wax off'!

I love the original Karate Kid film.  I didn't realise Mr Miyagi had died.  And I'm quite depressed now I know the film is 30 years old!

Too many. Like books, some will somehow change you, some entertain you.

I don't know if it comes across here but I'm kind of a softie (MI5 laughs) and I love unadulterated happy feelings things. Tim Burton makes me very mellow.
