"Starting Feb 4, 2015 O2 UK will no longer support Twitter SMS notifications. Users will still be able to use 2-factor authentication and reset their password over SMS"
I am still getting the SMS notifcations but can't seem to tweet (the important part). Please help?

You won't get any more information from O2 staff on here. The question has been asked of O2. They claim Twitter switched it off, Twitter claim otherwise. I don't expect any response from grown up O2 staff members other than the reason already stated.

Maybe this is the grown up response @Anonymous is looking for. The response from Toby the community coordinator who said this ....(post 7 this thread)
Hi guys,
The Twitter SMS service was a Twitter service, not an O2 one and they have decided to terminate it.

But as we know, "Economy with the Truth" is a phenomenon which exists throughout the O2 business unit.
It would appear they also are economic with it when speaking to their own people.
We should make up our own minds as to who is telling the truth.

I know which party my money is on if the service is still available on other networks.

Sms twitter would have been quite profitable at one point as it provided easier but chargeable access to an addictive social interaction site.
Texts are free now so profit has fell through its own rectum.
O2 are a business that depends on income and profits.
No profit = no point
The end. Finish. Kaput. Its gone. Deal with it.

Anyway, I suggest in an effort to move on from this, a good derailment is in order.
Anyone see Madonna going down last night
