Jane....Google is your friend....
Might be time to upgrade your TV and your Sky box if you haven't done that yet.

Hi,
With the Sky box you need to go to the main menu and select catch up tv. You can select the channel to catch up on (BBC) (All4/4OD) (Sky) and many more. You can scroll through the programmes or search. Once you have found what you want to watch you can download it to watch. Most will start playing it instantly as it lets you watch is it downloads or streams over the internet. For this to work you will need a good, stable and fastish internet connection. A HD tv isn't required but it may be worth the update in the future.
I don't watch actual TV now and Catch Up TV is my new friend.

I'm not right good when the word 'downloading' is mentioned ... it tends to give me the heebie-geebies
Will you confirm or not that I need an ethernet cable please?
I'd like to be clear, in my mind if the system is ethernet cable or download (never done a download before)
thank you LWWard & MI5 for your input

Jane if your TV is rigged up to receive Sky and you watch it from the Sky Box...then all you need to do press menu on your remote and Catch up should be there....you scroll through and press the programme you want to record...(it just downloads onto your TV so you can watch)
