It's 2014 and almost everyone (apart from my 85 year old nan) have been on a social networking site in their lifetime.

In the news it has been reported that less people are using Facebook nowadays.  Has the age of the social networking died off?

Are you on a social networking site? If so, which one and why? Do you use it to connect to old school friends or work colleagues, distant family who live elsewhere or complete strangers on the other side of the world?

Todays BBC News articles (I chose BBC as certain people are not fans of Daily Mail).

The Facebook article is about potentially being sued for privacy issues and the Snapchat article is about its recent security breach.

Happy reading (if you want to - i won't be bending anybodys arms behind their backs and forcing them to read the articles)

I joined Facebook about 6 years ago, I also joined Twitter few year later, I joined sites like Tagged and Hi5 about 8 years ago. It is much fun to use if you have family, friends and colleagues that use it but after certain time it dies off. I haven't used my Facebook for the past 2 years. I also dis activated it several times.

In my opinion, social network sites are the only think that we have almost total power on. The government and the other rich Corps can have power but it is limited. I would never want it to completely die but it certainly is less fun.
