I prefer not to use online ordering for my phones @Anonymous

It's fine for most but not for me.

I'm old fashioned where I prefer a shop I can approach if after sales aftercare is required.

I am ok with online from a major retailer such as the mobile networks / supermarkets / CPW etc as they have shops.

Just my choice but I don't think I'd buy a secondhand phone personally.....

I would buy a refurb from a network or major retailer such as CPW but i workshy buy one online. Too many horror stories.

I most definitely would never by via eBay either new or 2nd hand.

With CEX they fully text phones before buying them and they add a years warranty themselves.

If one gets imei blocked which has never happened to me they swap it straight away.

Very little risk.

Yeah, I've bought refurbs before but you can't tell them from new.... It's just the thought of where a second hand phone might have been that makes me shudder 😞

Most of the higher end phones there are unwanted upgrades still with the factory screen shields affixed.

The seals on the boxes have been broken purely to test them. wink

But you miss the joy of breaking the seal yourself.... and if they are new, untouched, unwanted upgrades, why the need to break the seal anyway. Stores don't break the seals to test every "new" phone they sell.....?

CEX make sure ;

A , it boots up and works and to see if it's open to all networks or locked to a particular one which affects sale price.

B, it's not imei locked.

As I said, personal choice but not mine... I don't even think you save that much, although I notice they don't offer anywhere near as much as they sell for.....
