Actually THIS thread was started a few years ago. It has been split into two since then @Anonymous.
It was very popular and we all used to 'gather here' to chat about anything and everything.
Times change and some of those who were active on here on a daily basis, are no longer members.
On the other hand some people prefer to start new threads rather than post in here.
Sorry if that sounds abrupt, but in it's day this was ONE of the most popular threads on the forum.

It was because you posted your thoughts on here and that lead me to believe you meant this one.
Many of the long standing members will remember our frustration and our fight to stop the splitting of this thread and Wanty's Bar. I was particularly vocal on the subject (as you probably realise) because the reason given wasn't correct and it was done without discussion. .
However, I am drifting into decisions made by the Admin of that time, so will say no more on the subject otherwise I risk having this post deleted. 
I agree totally that this thread is great for day to day chats, drinks and 'shooting the breeze'.
