Just seen on the news that parts of Yorkshire are badly flooded @Anonymous  It showed roads and bridges washed away. Such a change from a week ago.

Yes @Cleoriff & @jonsie the pictures are indeed awful

Swaledale is the most northern of the regions main rivers & I truly hope all the volume of water does not travel down to flood York

The famous Settle to Carlisle railway line has been blocked by a landslide

We have the torrential rain here now, floods in many parts of Gtr Manchester.

This is the A555 which has been closed but it didn't stop one idiot who was obviously in a hurry! As you can see the rain took a respite for about an hour just after lunch.

It's horrific the amount of damage  done to roads farms and walls. Apparently a months rain in just two days.

And sill the rain lashing down. The dam is in danger of bursting at Whaley Bridge and 400 homes have been evacuated. very sad to see the police assisting pensioners with walking frames and wheel chairs being escorted to safety with all ther treasured possessions in plastic laundry boxes.

1.2 million litres of water threatening the village if the damn bursts....
