Well we still have sun. Looks like a nice day and at last my bedding plants are beginning to flourish. Bit late, but after being drowned for nearly 2 weeks I suppose they need some time...

Or is that relating to the England result??

yes. Miffed. Top screr doesn't want to take a penalty? What's that all about? Saddened for all of the team though :frowning2:

Not sure about that, but one of the interviews after said that Steph H was the duty penalty taker for the game.

No clue why you wouldn't have your striker doing it, but then if they have a designated person doing it you would imagine it is because they had the best record in training or competition...

Gutted that England lost to the USA.

A disallowed goal, the missed penalty [which in my opiion was partly due to the pressure waiting for VAR decision on penalty, and I think Ellen White should have taken it], a red card, down to ten players.

The Lionesses have everything to be proud of themselves. Whereas previously women`s football hardly drew any interest [myself included], they have brought record viewing figures and have inspired women and girls to want to play football. The Lionesses have the Team GB at the Olympics to look forward to.

My wish? Sweden to beat Netherlands tonight and then destroy the USA on Saturday.

Well, I can dream, cant I?

Well trying to keep an unbiased view the USA were the better players. I particularly liked the way the US were all pushing up to the goal together gang like and attacking in front of goal. Neville perhaps with "old school" strategy. GB players not as fit either. Well done everyone really enjoyed game on edge of seat! Really felt for GB tried hard come back stronger. 😍

Most sad of all...I think England would have beaten both the other semi-finalists comfortably.

Sad to read that JEREMY HUNT
has promised to reinstate
FOX HUNTING
that firmly puts him in the sick box👹👹👹👹👹
Thought there would be better things to concentrate on than supporting the Hunting
persecution and tearing apart of one of our British wild animals to gratify the needs of the Landed Gentry and get himself voted in. Can't imagine what kind of PM he'd make.

And when Boris Johnson was Mayor of London,  he wanted to introduce Fox Hunting in the city to get rid of the urban foxes.

It's called six of one and half a dozen of the other.

On the other hand Jeremy Hunt did his damndest to ruin the NHS, so he won't be forgiven for that in a hurry.
