kicked my old basic Epson printer in frustration many many months ago
therapeutic for me for about 3 nano-seconds but really, really bad for the printer
well, let's see if there are many takers for my initial entry into the off-top unofficial world of 'the lounge area'

I've searched the forum & found an entry re: Bluetooth maybe causing migraines ... as someone who has suffered this type of headache since a teenager I have recently found Co-Codamol very useful ... it is the equivalent of yellow Migraleve tablets, as told to me by a GP, & available on prescription or OTC at the pharmacy
I had a migraine whilst out this evening (no alcohol) ... & ... used to get them more often when working as a clerk / typist att when most computers had a mesh screen cover
I used a headset when a receptionist manning a 10 x 49 PABX switchboard ... but ... cannot tolerate anything in my ear'oles at all, I wear ear muffs at this time of year when outside
btw I've used colour at the top of this post ... because ... the aura I have is multicoloured

Just a word of warning with the co-codamol.
Due to the type of drug in them, they can become addictive. I think the recommeded usage is no more than 3 or 4 days before taking a break.
Hope you feel better soon @Anonymous
This is very dependent on the strength of codeine in co-codamol @gmarkj. They are a combination of paracetamol and codeine. The paracetamol dose remains the same (500mgm) but the codeine element comes in 3 different strengths, (8mgms, 15mgms or 30mgms) The 8mgms combo can be bought over the counter without prescription. The other 2 types can only be prescribed by a GP
The main thing to be wary of, is not to use these with ANY other paracetamol based medication. This is the biggest cause for concern.... as you could be overdosing on paracetamol

Although you were correct in part @gmarkj.... If the lower dose co-codamol is not helping with pain relief after 4 days then you should visit your GP and seek further advice. You may be given a higher dose on prescription if the GP thinks it will help. This would be monitored as the prescription would only be given for a certain period of time...:smileywink:

I didn't realise co-codamol came in different strengths ... I'm prescribed the lower dosage
One dose sorted me out yesterday ... the sooner the aura is seen & tablets taken then the migraine doesn't develop & there is no vomiting
Funnily enough I awoke today with another aura, took co-codamol & slowly the aura moves away
it could be stress building up as I have 2 'official' people coming to see me later today
Co-codamol has wonderdrug paracetamol in it
My future daughter-in-law, a pharmacist, says paracetamol is all she takes for things like colds / headaches ... what is your input @Cleoriff

@AnonymousShe is right I think. Nothing cures colds but paracetamol helps alleviates the symptoms...headache and fever. etc. Some people DO benefit by taking stuff like Lemsip or Beechams....(however, thats purely because it has paracetamol in....:smileywink:)

When I was little my mum used to make me a mixture of warm milk and chopped onions in a mug. It was disgusting but I had to drink it as it "helps for the cold".
