Texting Optus users

I still can't send text messages to Optus users in Australia.  I can receive them and call them but get an undelivered message when I try to send a text message. Why hasn't this been solved it has been a problem for about 2 years now?

Only o2 can answer that I'm afraid.
Have you raised it with complaints?

Previously you discovered you needed 00 in front of the number. Are you still using the format that was successful before ?

Thanks for your suggestions.  I do have 00 in front of the number and iMessages is off.  I can text other friends in Australia who use other networks but not Optus users.  When I get a text from an Optus user I can't even reply to it.  I just get the undelivered message. And yes I need to get on to O2.

I've sorted it.  I had the number labelled iPhone and it's an android!!!  Silly me again.  I must have accidently changed the labelling at some point.  Thanks for all your suggestions.
