Tech That We Said Goodbye To In 2014

2014 introduced many tech things (iPhone 6, 3D TV, Samsgun Galaxy tab), but unfortunately it also said goodbye to some much loved tech things, such as MSN Messenger.  I used to like MSN Messenger and I don't like Skype so I just don't use it anymore. I guess Facebook chat is the next best thing.

Here is a list of the main things that have disappeared this year:

  • MSN Messenger
  • iPod Classic - my very first iPod (black and white)
  • Plasma TV
  • Windows XP (I quite like Windows 8 now but my mum still uses Vista).
  • Nokia (i've never owned a Nokia phone so I can't comment on the pros/cons).

Is there anything from that list that you will miss? Is there something missing from that list?

Hi @sheepdog

Have you considered Yosimite. I find this smoother than Mavericks , although Mavericks played well for me too. 😄

Its on my list of things to set off over the next few days. I've realised that its going to make zero difference to my current use of OS X and I've got backups to revert to if things don't go wrong. Nice little thing this Time machine program.

Time Machine is very handy yes.

I opt to use an external hard drive for mine. Keeps the MacBook Air memory usage down
