It's that time of year again folks.
From Monday August 13th they will start revealing the candidates for this years show. I understand the first one will be on that nights episode of the One Show.
Many names being bandied about and people are even putting bets on them? (A bit stupid when there's been nothing official yet)
Anyway names in the mix so far
Cheryl Cole (can't see that happening)
Ashley Roberts (former Pussycat Doll)
Lee Ryan (from Blue)
Faye Tozer (from Steps)
Les Dennis
Tom Daley
Steph Mc Govern BBC Newscaster.
Dan Walker (Sports Presenter)
Colleen Rooney (can't see that as they have just upped sticks and moved to the US for Waynes football career)
Michelle Keegan (Corrie and Our Girl)
Mark Labbett (The Beast) from The Chase.
Kate Silverstone (BBC Newsreader)
That's all I've got so far and probably half of them are wrong but hey...
What is certain , the judging panel and the presenters remain the same.
Also the guy who will replace the lovely Brendon Cole is Neil Jones. He has been on the show as a back up dancer and is married to last years winning professional Katya Jones

So we're getting Nile Rogers and the touring band of chic. Followed by the rather insipid Craig David and this Stefflon Don doing self promotion of their new tunes. Hmmm. No idea who Stefflon Don is so quickly youtubing her seems, well, another Brit from London trying to emulate the likes of Nicky Minaj and Rhiana and a whole host of other mediocrity.
So guess thats a perfect match for Craig David then 
I'm guessing this series is going to be full of music acts appealing to the younger viewers which might more questions on "Who is this?" and "What is this?" in our household.

I know Nile Rodgers and Chic are on tour this year.
Craig David has always been insipid and I didn't realise he was still going and like you @sheepdog I have never heard of StefflonDon

Well we all seem to be on the same page here. Very blah launch show. And who the hell is StefflonDon 
A cross between Rhiana, who I like and Nicky Minaj who I hate ......mmmm. Can't wait, not.
I get they're trying to appeal to the younger viewer but they could've done better than this shower. Clearly, they don't know what the younger viewers are into.
I can see I'll be reading or playing games when the live acts are on, anything to avoid

It always annoys me that they drag out the dates between the launch show and the first live show....:smileysad:

I agree @Cleoriff but it's designed to get everyone excited so they watch the first show and kill X-Factor, and it gives the celebrities extra practice time.
