Lovely poem @Pennywren
Well done on being accepted as acting store manager on 12 week trial and I hope it becomes a permanent position for you [if that`s what you want].
Good to have you - and your poems - back with us

I suspect you are now in the new job @Pennywren?
Just remember, you were the one chosen to take on more responsibility. You were chosen because you are good at what you do. Why would you let anyone down?
I wish I could wave a magic wand to get rid of your concerns but I can't. You just have to change your own mindset. Instead of worrying as to whether you are good enough.....you should be thinking,
'Hey, I'm pretty good at this ....Go me'...
All the very best. You will get there soon, I'm sure

Stars shine in the indigo sky,
The moon a perfect pearl.
The eddy and swirl of the celestial lights,
Create a myriad of colours.
The gentle hum of life,
The music to their dance.
Sparkle and spark
Fizz and hum.
Life goes on around us.
Planets spin in their eternal dance
Timings set to angelic music.
Clouds of stars
Nebula of colour,
Mystifying, ethereal
A delight to the senses.
A carpet of stars
Each on a jewel:
Precious, eternal,
A sight to behold.
Cherish this sight
It's beauty is for all to see.
The indigo sky
A perfect canvas
To show the beauty
Of the night.

Thank you for your kind words..
I think that I have re found my creative spark. It's been a rollercoaster but things are settling down at work and with any luck, as things stand, by October the manager job will be mine permanently. I'm starting to get belief in myself and people like you and @Cleoriff have helped enormously
