Last Christmas gamers' hearts were broken as hackers from a group called Lizard Squad decided to take down the online networks of PlayStation and Xbox with a DDoS attack.

This year there may be more upset, as a new hacking collective – called Phantom Squad – has threatened it will strike again. They have said they will take both networks down for a week

If they succeed, there will be many people upset over the Christmas period....

Yeah, read this on butterwallet. Doing this is bad enough, but to do it over christmas when kids (big and small) will want to play new games etc.

Hope Microsoft and Sony come up with a plan to combat this.

A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing. I just find it sad that people have to resort to cyber attacks because it gives them a buzz and just because they think it's clever. I despair about the future, I really do. These are not master criminals, they are silly and immature people.
