O2 had best results for calls and texts but was behind EE in mobile internet according to a report published by Root Metrics since the rollout of 4G on O2 and Vodafone.

That makes them sound very cheapskate, let's hope O2 don't use that route.

Hopefully not.....
Let's hope that "Mast Sharing" with Voda doesn't mean "Mast Reduction"........!!

I'm sure it will in some areas, but they have to be careful to meet their requirements under the agreement with Ofcom to cover 98% of the population.

"The plans will mean both companies will have access to over 18,500 sites, which is an increase of more than 40% for each operator. And, because of the way we’ll be pooling sites, we expect there will be more than a 10% overall reduction in the total number of masts in the UK between both us and Vodafone – a great result for the environment!" source http://www.o2.co.uk/network/future

so a big increase in total masts rembering the deal is mast / site share not equipment I think capacity on o2 / voda will not suffer

O2 are indeed rubbish for data, the only things I use on my phone that use data are Facebook, and downloading songs from Amazon, for the months of September and October, I've gone over my 750 Mb allowance!

But that's only because I don't know the password for Plusnet Wi-Fi when I'm at home because I turn Wi Fi off when I'm out! I know I could find it out by going to my router's admin page but I don't know the address for it, oh well, a quick trip to the Plusnet forum is in order to find out.

If you're using data to download songs instead of using your WiFi connection, that isn't O2's fault, it's yours. You can very easily find the Plusnet password if you took the time to ask someone. That's just a total waste of money.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

I just did a thread on the Plusnet forum asking, according to one of their Mods it's underneath the router, it isn't, I looked.
