Unhelpful o2 staff, Let Me Go

for 3 years o2 have been great!, but I am getting passed around via online chat services and calling the helpline. Please let me go from my contract, you are not suppling me with the reception I am paying for.  O2 do not understand the fact that I have to leave my house and walk up the road for signal, before it is was fine but the last 6 weeks have been poor, I relie on my phone for buissness and nobody can contact me from my home office anymore.

 

below is a conversation showing there ignorance to what I am saying

Vicki: Please switch off your phone, remove the sim, wipe it with a dry cloth and restart again.

daniel gower: i need you to release me from my contract, I feel its very unfair to tie me down to a service that is not working, on the weekend i travelled to zurich, before hand my colleague was trying to inform me that plans had changed it completely mesed up my weekend

daniel gower: I have spoke to 3 different o2 staff now, they have been helpful to a degree

daniel gower: but at the end of the day the mast will not be fixed until the 5th of september

daniel gower: The mast is down therefore there is no signal

daniel gower: my hiusemate does but he is in zurich, he was having trouble before he left

daniel gower: no mast = no reception, no reception= no phone.

daniel gower: no phone= loss of buisness unfortunately

Vicki: Please insert the sim in any other O2 phone and check if the network shows.

daniel gower: I am having to use my friends vodafone

daniel gower: I do not another phone

daniel gower: i am not lying when i say the mast is down

Vicki: The O2 sim will not work in that phone.

Vicki: I understand that but now I've checked the network coverage and it says network is good.

daniel gower: imagine if you had to leave your office and walk down the road to talk to me? its not practical

daniel gower: and in 2 second it will disapear

Vicki: Its really awefull.

daniel gower: I have been told by 3 of your colleagues a mast is down!

Vicki: It may be on that time but now the network is full.

Vicki: are other people in your area facing the problem?

daniel gower: I have had perfect signal for 2 years, now im lucky to get 1bar of signal

daniel gower: yes like i said my housemate, but he has been in zurich for a month

daniel gower: it happened during th Olympic games, i live right next to the site

daniel gower: yes my usage has been checked loads, but i am having to walk 3 minutes up the road to use it

Quentin: If you did not have network from past then how was the usage.

daniel gower: the usuage is from leaving my house and using my phone elsewhere

Quentin: I'm sorry but as I see the network is good and the usage is also there on the account.

Quentin: So in this situation I will not be able to do anything.

daniel gower: but its not good enough

daniel gower: if you will not do anything about it I will certainly spread the word this is a bloody joke, do you really think i want to be talking to you this is antagonizing

daniel gower: I HAVE NO SERVICE IN MY HOUSE

daniel gower: I have had service for 2 years on the whole o2 have been great

daniel gower: the last 6 weeks service has been terrible

daniel gower: I ahve phoned 3 times each person has sent me on because they are incapable of undestanding

daniel gower: are you serious a communication company that cannot call there customers?

daniel gower: I can assure you this conversation is going to shared amongst thousands just to show how pathetic this service is

Quentin: You have to call the toll free number 202.

daniel gower: can you explain why is there is nothing you can do?

As you have found, for these type of issues, chat is hopeless. You do need to speak to customer service to get this resolved or you could go down the complaints route.

Yes, thank you guys, I have phoned on three occasions over the last month, they do not really care. And of course there are going to be mast issues, but its been down 6 weeks, its going to be repaired on the 5th. Its a shame o2 have been brilliant until the last month but I need people to be able to contact me, **bleep** office/home job!

ring o2 and ask if you get a payg on another network as this has been going on for 6 weeks will they forward your number at no cost to you to the other network(it may come out of you mins allowans so no real cost).

 

If they do not you could still do the same and at least keep the business going.

I really hope you get the Mast sorted and your signal back.

 

But is this not a merry go round yet again. What is the point with o2 online chat?

 

Ive had same issues my self, with the online chat.

 

Are they also really based in the Uk?

 

Toll free 202. Ive never ever heard any one say that in UK. USA and India, but never UK

I think it's generally accepted that the chat line is routed overseas. Some of the replies you get seem to be a product of google translate in badly phrased English.
