No data coverage in Eastbourne

My phone has not been able to get o2 data coverage here in Eastbourne BN23 all day. Is anyone else in this area having the same problem?. Have a full mobile signal and good telephone reception but no data at all!

Have you tried your full postcode in the service status page : http://status.o2.co.uk/

Try cleaning the sim and resetting the phone. Is it possible to try your sim in another phone? Anyone else you know on O2 having problems?

Yes put full post code in and it says there is heavy demand! Can this be true, having been off all day.

If there's been no data connection in your area all day and now it's been restored, it would stand to reason that there would now be heavy demand, wouldn't you say?

It could mean the mast isn't running at full capacity for some reason, I hope it's fixed soon for you.
