Hope everyone is having a peaceful and fulfilling Sunday.

Earlier today I corresponded with @jonsie and I mentioned that I thought Hua Hin in Thailand was as near to Paradise as you could find anywhere. We all have places we would love to escape to for peace and tranquility.

However, being home on leave with your family after a 3 month long tour in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a good example of Paradise.

Now I’m confused... yes it’s cold, but the sun is blazing.. how can the weather be bad?

Compared to say, a day of rain, sleet or snow and cold as well?

Today I can get out there and not get dressed up to the nines.. (btw I’m in shorts about to ride to the gym)

Well all I can say is that it was a little windy and cold getting wheeled into the back of the ambulance this morning but quite nice with the sun streaming through the windows. I have on a big thick coat, tracky bottoms and a woolly hat!

Well we are all different @Anonymous (and thank god for that). I stated earlier in the thread that my idea of a sunny day is sunny and warm. Preferably over 20c. I had an apartment in Spain which I used as a bolt hole to escape the winter months...Sadly we sold this for various reasons. I was there this time last year and it was 22c

So whilst I agree totally that today is better than yesterday and I note the mornings and evening are lighter, it still isn't a lovely warm day (which is what I crave) Smiley Very Happy

Nice and sunny today in London too. Although yes, it's a bit cold. I always try to compare to Helsinki where I used to live. They have subzero today. Muhahaha glad I'm here! :sun:

Craving for warmth too @Cleoriff. Doesn't it usually start to get a bit warmer during March? Not too long to go... well perhaps not 20c though. 25 and sunny would be perfect!

It does get warmer @Marjo Although I remember having heavy snow in April and May before now. (Snow in April is more common than you think)

In 1981 I attempted to drive 30 miles to Warwick to give a presentation to some members of the UK Nursing body. It had snowed heavily overnight

It was imperative I got there as I was promoting a course I had developed which allowed people to enter nursing via a different route. It took me 3 hrs. It was worth it though, as the course was accepted by the governing body....(and then I had to drive back in a state of utter euphoria....) Smiley Very Happy

Trees were down, cars abandoned, but I got home at 9pm.....(I must have been mad, no way would I attempt that again)
