Hi everyone,

This is the first I heard of this championship, truly one of a kind astonished

The 2019 Lumberjack World Championships® began yesterday and will finish tomorrow. It's an international competition taking place in Wisconsin, showcasing the best in axe throwing, sawing, log rolling, boom running, speed pole climbing and chopping. You can watch some of last year's competition here, to get a better idea of what happens there -if you wanna see some incredibly fast boom running, go to 54:10, or 2:28:45!

It's a really unsual set of sports, and having tried axe throwing myself a couple of years back (not very successfully I'm afraid), I'm rather curious and impressed by this display of skills I absolutely do not have smile

Which one of these sports would you guys like to try/observe most?

Hi @EmilieT

Just got around to answering your post.

I have seen this on TV some time ago.

It is such fun to watch.

It is great to watch all the events ~ so unusual for us here in the UK

Hope the networks show more.Good Idea

I`m impressed - not something I`d even consider having a go at.

Some people see things as they are and ask "Why?"; I dream of things that never were and ask "Why not?"
