Well, since @Anonymous put a spotlight on my one hobby that doesn't require electricity (with exception of the train tracks, which is for another post) and gets me hopping about (in excitement or pain)*, I've decided to start a little Lego topic here for us all to post photos of our creations - from the instructions or from our own minds... actually, thinking about it, perhaps we need to start a poster-exclusion list now - I've read the rumours thread, you know.

So, welcome to the Lego Topic - a place for the creative person in all of us to look, to enjoy, to share, to dribble over**, to contribute, to suggest, to.... something or other... just make sure you clean up after yourself.

More info
*I need to order some thick slippers for Christmas, I think. Or, you know, clean up after myself.

**Of course dribbling is allowed - this isn't a branch of Dixons, you know.

I'm not sure @Toby - I have not counted but I would expect a few thousand.  I've got to sort out the interior of the office next and then I'll be able to do some photos inside too - the whole thing lifts apart so that the children can play inside.

I wish I had a collection that big! It's very expensive these days 😞

Wow @Daddydoink your LEGO buildings are really impressive and quite inspiring! I love the O2 logo on the outer wall. grin

Back in the day when I used to work at LEGO, I had loads of pieces... I mostly built lots of little random things instead of large constructs though. I have since sold most of the pieces. 😞 Sad.

How many LEGO minifigures do you have by the way?

I know what you mean, @Toby - I think Ebay is a great place to start these days

@Marjo - too many to count.  Somewhere in the region of 50-75 I expect - they are a mix of from sets, from single packs and make your own.  I couldn't sell the lego - I mean, look at it.... so pretty....

Each to their own but I left Lego behind around 30 years ago but even now I've moved to Thailand, I find a discarded brick everywhere I turn LOL

I did post a parcel of Lego to a very dear friend's son 12 months ago for his birthday. It cost more to post and insure than it was to buy it in the first place!Smiley Surprised

Some of you will know that one of my all time favourite TV programmes is Sherlock so I suppose this had to be done. Though it looks nothing like Benedict Cumberbatch really....Fear

I acquired a classic set today - one of a few... more pics will come as I build them (unless the children get involved)...
