They look good, but the days of less expensive from Google are gone.

Hi,

Sorry I had to post this as the worst iPhone fan review of the new Google phone.

Headline is

Good God, we've found a Google thing we like – the Pixel iPhone killer

The proceeds to say it is an iphone copy

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2016/10/04/google_pixel_phone/http://www.theregister.co.uk/2016/10/04/g...

The best quote is this

"One ominous sign: the Pixel cases that Google displayed on the wall of one of the booths all had a round hole in the back. Why? So you can see the logo even when a protective case is on it.

That hole has always been a symbol of the slightly mad fandom that surrounds Apple products – seriously who gives a **** about seeing a logo? But now Google has put that hole there too. It's a direct challenge. The next few months will determine whether that hole is the sign of a wannabe or a conqueror."

I cannot believe how stupid the reporter must be to not realise there is a hole in the cases because the fingerprint scanner is on the back. It is not there as a symbol of fandom to look at logos on this phone that is reserved for the other company.

Anyway very little in the way of practical reviews coming out at the moment and I have struggled to understand since when has being able to get the "bokeh" effect been an essential phone (camera) requirement?

First time I have ever read it was a copy of an iPhone Shocked. In fact I have heard it is vastly superior in every way...

Typical blinkered fanboi type of comment - it just adds to the thoughts that normal people already have of those types.

Copy of an iPhone.....
Last time I checked the iPhone's current designs were straight up copies of HTC ones and Xperia z3's

Hi everyone,

I've had conformation that O2 wont be stocking the Pixel phone directly. Please see the official statement below and if you have any questions let me know wink

"We sell a range of the best Google Android devices on the market, including our exclusive OnePlus 3, but have no plans to sell Google’s Pixel phones at the moment. Customers looking to buy Google’s Pixel phones on our network will be able to purchase them through Carphone Warehouse."
