Channel 4 has taken over the terrestrial viewing for Formula 1 after BBC opted out of the contract.
I love F1 and am a bit dubious as to how successful this will be. However they have stated there will be no adverts during race time (thank god)
Yesterday they officially revealed the presenting team......
David Coulthard, Mark Webber, Alain Prost, Alex Zanardi, Susie Wolff, Karun Chandhok, Eddie Jordan and Bruno Senna; alongside seasoned live presenters and journalists Steve Jones, Ben Edwards and Lee McKenzie.
It also says Guy Martin will be making appearances

Yawn.....well I thought nothing looked too different by the start of Practice 2...
Mercedes were 1+2 in Practice 1.....
Then one driver crashed out in P2.....as the rain is lashing down......

Indeed...Poor Rosberg
I actually missed it as I lost interest after P1 when I saw he was the fastest.....Then this morning I watched the rest of P2....and wondered where the heck he was?
Had to rewind to check. I bet Lewis was hiding a smile in the pits.
Not sure I understand these new qualifying rules though?

They are a tad confusing, not sure the drivers or team bosses fully understand to be honest....

Well I found this....:smileywink:
The format of qualifying, which takes place at 06:00 GMT on Saturday, has changed with the introduction of a system that will eliminate the slowest driver every 90 seconds in the second half of each of the three sessions.
And there are major restrictions on the use of team radio, with limitations on the information the teams can give to drivers.
Governing body the FIA has produced a list of 24 permitted message subjects. Anything outside that will be treated as an offence, with penalties to be decided by the race stewards.

Taken the liberty of changing the title of the thread to Formula 1 2016. It started as a discussion of F1 on Ch4 but as it kicks off at 1.00am tomorrow morning on Sky F1.....it didn't take much for me to switch my loyalties for this weekend.
It's the Australian F1 which is why it's going to be at silly o'clock
Pity you lot who have to work.....
@Cleoriff I'll change the title of the OP as well if you don't mind.
