Another thing that keeps rubbing salt in my wounds....Type in my postcode and get the following....

"You are likely to have sufficient signal to use 4G data services"

Yeah right.....

If I may ask guys,

How does this compare to readings in O2's status checker?

Mmmmmm...well for me this says 'I am able to get 4G' ....O2 says not available.

However.... as it is becoming available in my area (@MI5 got it last night) it could actually be correct.

It hasn't got 4g updated yet but neither has o2's site.
2g and 3g look fairly consistent across both but the interesting places to look at will be those in fringe signal areas.

In reference to how it compares......I understand that the Ofcom checker gives a higher resolution zoom than the O2 one so is more detailed.
The main use though is to be able to zoom onto a postcode and cycle through the networks rather than swapping between them .......

It's much easier than loading postcodes into all the network sites. It's spot on about my postcode for all networks.

Indeed, very convenient to have all networks on one screen....
