My new Chromecast device has arrived along with the installation of Virginmedia broadband (speeds around 100 Mb) I could be otherwise engaged for quite some time 

It seems strange streaming photos, videos and your laptop onto a 40 inch TV....

Not in the Pete Townsend/Brian May category but I can strum a tune. I enjoy karaoke in the Thai bars when you 'borrow' the bands guitar. You get quite a few drinks your way....bought and thrown

@jonsie what can be streamed to.chromecast? Does it have to be Web paged content or can it do throw to items such as movies stored on sd card?
