From last year they were Sleeping Beeuties 2018 to

This year 2019  again these little kind and sweet bees have caught me unaware and when I opened

the sleeping box there were a few anxious looking faces!  So up went the boxes sharpish

and they were put on top to feel the fresh air and off they flew ~ they'll be back always

to the same spot they first remember.

These are the boxes facing South in the hot sun.  

This is a box with                                                                                 an emerging bee under the release box top.

Wildlife have no respect for photographers!

Because I work closely with these bees now,

No problem I know you are just as keen on the natural world and you are keeping busy too with the quizzes etc.
Girls worked into early evening. They will enjoy an apparently long sunny 🌞☀ week.

My week is extremely busy weather produces all sorts of work. Haven't cleaned up after the storm yet, so you see where my bank Holiday is heading. 😬

Update on Red Mason bees
All 3 boxes are getting well filled now, after a late start.
Weather has improved and many long sunny hot days have made them happy.

My postman is a bee enthusiast ... yes they do have lives outside letters and parcels. The bee homes are above the post box!
I put up a sign to say these bees do not sting.
Got talking to him because I wanted him to know they were OK...turns out he loves bees.
Happiness again.
He has set up bee homes for solitary bees on the farm he lives on, so will take some of my bees later in year. Really happy with that as I have over 1000 bees here this year, probably more this year.

Neighbour's builder has set up honey bees at his home, he told me as he could see solitary bee homes here..his father is helping him as he keeps honey bees and is in local group for healthy honey bees society, do need help with these little "dears" quite a bit of skill and equipment needed.
It's great to meet people, I had no idea how many people enjoyed looking after bees too. According to builder there are lots of people keeping bees usually honey bees, around here.

Solitary bees are finished their homes before the honey bees gets going, so they don't clash for food.
