From last year they were Sleeping Beeuties 2018 to

This year 2019  again these little kind and sweet bees have caught me unaware and when I opened

the sleeping box there were a few anxious looking faces!  So up went the boxes sharpish

and they were put on top to feel the fresh air and off they flew ~ they'll be back always

to the same spot they first remember.

These are the boxes facing South in the hot sun.

I plan to begin tomorrow sorting out the centre fancy pot ... with a visit to B&Q and Morrisons

I won't mind a bit of rain

As this thread also covers nature, I was wondering whether any of you watched the brilliantly filmed BBC TV programme on hippos and the ITV programme on Counting Tigers?

I watched Counting Tigers last night @Mi-Amigo

Brilliant to see in India, the tiger population is increasing due to the conservation area.

Another great programme is Orangutan Jungle School on Ch4 tonight 8pm.

Also on tonight BBC 2 at 9pm is the superb Animal Babies: First Year On Earth

@Cleoriff

Yes, its great to know the tiger population is increasing, which shows that if enough people care and conservation measures are in place then it can make a difference.

Thanks for the info on the two programmes. I`ll definitely be watching them. To me, there has always been something fascinating about orangutans.

hello @TallTrees ... today, I thought about you especially

A canal narrowboat, moored up on the Leeds Liverpool canal, has the name The Bees Knees ... sorry, but no photo as I thought I'd be being impudent to the owners ... the style was brown with golden yellow script

I'm supposing that the phrase comes from something like the bees carrying the valuable pollen on their knees ?

Yesteday, whilst waiting for the train to pull out of Sipton station, I was fascinated to see many butterflies on a large wild Buddlea bush ... = ... Red Admiral & Peacock(I think)

Hi @Anonymous
Now that's the perfect name on the Narrow boat! Good to hear about butterflies. The 2 you mention have lovely colours.
Bees knees full of pollen 🥰
