Sir Henry Moore ... old alumni of where I went to Senior school.
'I'd rather have my sculpture in the landscape, than on the most beautiful building I know'
One of his recurring themes ... ... ... King and Queen ... ... ... in Scotland, I believe, hopefully still in situ.
One of my favourite pieces of his work, yes we studied his work to GCE A level in 3D Art classes
A long-stitch tapestry I did from a kit and which my then husband had framed for me.

Yesterday in the i newspaper, there was a feature on Gaugin
Farming in Brittany
Breton Landscape
Landscape of Brittany
I can't seem to find one lovely picture which was featured in the newspaper article - it was of a girl in a purple dress eating a piece of fruit
Gaugin is a painter I don't really know, but upon perusing his pictures on the web, he's underated.

I posted the picture because I like landscape and those Autumn colours ... it's a sort of up-to-date Haywain ... if I may say so
I prefer landscapes to portraits ... I'd rather have photos of people

Hello @TallTrees ... ... ... thank you for your comments
I absolutely love love love colour ... no, my house has accent colour ... but ... it has been commented that I wear colourful clothes, which I do ... although ... not like my x-husband said 'I look like something out of Mothercare' ... most of my lads clothes came from there and the buggy
WHAT IS ART ?
I have been photographing things about my home ... not satisfied with the results yet
Ashley Jackson, small limited print = washing drying on a line in the wind
A watercolour print of York = I lived there for a while, not long enough 😞
3 x 1000 piece jigsaws framed = pictures of paintings
1 x 500 piece of a child-like print jigsaw, a village in the landscape ... did the jigsaw in one evening
Most of all ... an original watercolour over the mantelpiece in my living room ... ... ... a chap visited my home in then Fleckney towards Christmas and I treated myself to a semi-abstract style derelict mill in the landscape = the nice elderly man then framed it ... he gave me a little book on Renoir because I reminded him of the woman on the cover of the book = lovely
Photos to follow ... sometime
@Seahorse you are instrumental in me being op (orginal poster) in this thread ... ... ... how are you and your artwork ?
