Apple Lightning USB

I was considering buying a spare lightning cable so that I can charge my phone at work.  When I looked on the Apple site I came across the perfect thing - a keychain.

It looks great and ideal, however when I have read reviews online, I have found that, although it is useful, people are saying that it is not worth the money.

It is not an Apple product and therefore it is not covered by the usual Apple warranty so that puts me off it a bit.

Does anyone have one of these? Or can you recommend anything similar?

To be honest Gemma I prefer to buy the Apple lightening cord even though it's £15 ,as I'm not wanting to possibly fry a £500+ device.

O2 stores sell them too.

Look for possible O2 Moments offers giving so much % off accessories.

I have several leads but for portabiity I have a griffin usb to micro about 3 inch long with the official apple micro usb / lightning adaptor. On ipad so cannot upload picture.

I must admit it looks a bit expensive to me have you thought about a portable battery pack the Anker ones are very good

I agree a standard USB cable is ok, but i'd prefer something more portable instead of a metre long cable

I have two at a charging station for my iPad Air at home and one at work to top up my iPhone.

Tbh I've not had the need to carry anything around on my person.

If a person does use a 3rd party accessory and it causes damage then warranty will not cover it.

search maplin for pqi lightning do a range of short ones and pqi leads are certified as MFI so good quality do one for handbags etc in various colours

a certified MFI product should not invalidate iphone warranty as the lead meets apple requirements plus the work with ios7 no issue.
