The death of Iran's top military commander, Qasem Soleimani, after a US drone strike, prompted days of speculation about what might happen next.
So now we know. In the early hours of Wednesday, Iran fired rockets at two air bases in Iraq that house US troops....One report states they missed, others are claiming they hit the bases. No news yet on any deaths.
I'm sure this is just an opening salvo and sadly there will be more to come.

Yes there were conclusions being drawn yesterday that the weapons used for the strike on the US military bases had NOT been stood down and closed off. Someone with a twitchy finger must have thought it was a retaliatory airstrike, instead of a commercial jet. As I said previously, we will see more of this type of thing.

There was never a doubt in my mind. It was just too much of a coincidence.
