Hello, i updated my o2 spend cap on my account a few days ago now, but I am still unable to spend on it. This is highly annoying as I want to put my Spotify plan to go through my phone bill but it won't do so as it hasn't updated?

What can I do?

Guide: Spend caps on O2 is the Community Forum guide, and you can adjust Spend Caps yourself in MyO2 - note certain items are not affected by a spend cap:

What counts towards your Spend Cap?

Spend Cap will limit additional calls, texts and data usage when your standard bundle or Bolt On allowance runs out. Spend Cap also limits your O2 access fee for any third-party services.

 

 

What doesn’t count towards your Spend Cap?

Some charges don't count towards your Spend Cap, so they may be added to your bill in addition to your Spend Cap.

These include recurring elements of your bill:

  • Airtime Plan
  • Device Plan
  • Insurance
  • Bolt Ons
  • Any account management fees such as paper bills or late payment fees.

Plus:

  • Charges to Mobile costs
  • Charges for third-party services
  • Charity donations
