I have had a text about a service modification that I did not request and I have no idea what it is or how much it costs.

It could be a result of O2 moving you from the older to the new 360 backend billing system, @Me19 - or if you have come from Virgin Media, a result of O2 balancing up your previous tariff with their equivalent.
