Hello,
today I have received a couple of text messages and some emails about billing and direct debit confirmation.
I don’t have a current o2 contract and have not tried to take a new contract so why am I receiving these text messages and emails.
and why do you have my bank details and current phone number.

@Budgie1979uk If you want to speak to someone from O2 customer service:
Call 202 from your mobile or 0344 809 0202, 0800 902 0217 or 0800 032 1402
When it comes to the reason you are calling, stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say 'Upgrade', 'Lost/Stolen', or 'Fraud' if the suggestion above doesn't get you through.
Best time to call is 8 am.

@Budgie1979uk This is not O2. This is a customer community. There are any number of ways scammers can get your details. No way of telling how they got yours.
If you think you’ve been the victim of fraud – whether that’s because you’ve given details to someone over the phone, or clicked on a link in a suspicious text or email – there are things you can do:
Contact your bank if you think you may have given out financial information. They can help protect your account and stop transactions.
Change your account and online account passwords.
Contact Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040

ok, but this is the o2 website, and i just followed the promts to ask o2 questions that led me to this.
Im with virgin media, and i just googled to see, and it looks like o2 is now owned by irgin media, and so i think thats how they have my details, id still liek to talk to someone from o2 to cnfirm this.
Why is trying to get to talk to an actual person so damn hard 😕
