Hi, I wont be able to pay for my tariff for a couple of months, but I need to keep my number active. If I cancel my tariff, how long can I go before my number is deactivated or lost?

If you cancel now the number will immediately be deactivated and there is no guarantee you will be able to retrieve your number.

Provided you are out of contract use a PAC code and move it to a cheap PAYG on another network

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

If you are already PAYG then you would normally get three months before you need to top up
