O2 are blocking nothing.

One UI 6 is in it's last beta phase which is not open to all

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

@FUNKI-SI

Samsung will push the update to your phone when available.

Updates are rolled out in batches by serial number, so some will always get it before others.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.

Not entirely true...

If you buy your handset from a network provider you cannot enrol in the beta because of the CSC. Whereas if you buy it from Samsung the CSC on the phone is set as a generic one and you can enrol in the beta via Samsung Members. The rules are enforced by Samsung at the request of the network you buy the phone off of.

There is a way to change the CSC but you can lose access to over the air (OTA) updates and it could potentially invalidate your warranty. (it's not a good idea if you're on a plus plan).

@garetc

So I think that you are basically agreeing with @MI5 that "Samsung will push the update to your phone when available" ?

No.

Updates are slower to arrive on phones purchased from a carrier and you can't participate in betas.

To be honest, Samsung on the latest phones the Z Flip and Z Fold 5's to certain countries only, so they are not letting anyone in to be honest.

And from what I have read the One UI 6 beta, is full of bugs on lots of devices, so typical Samsung OS QA.

For those wanting One UI 6 it will only be the S23 series starting at some point this month... the rest of the portfolio hasn't been announced yet..

Best place to keep upto date is sammobile.com
