That is something that can be configured by O2 on your account - contact O2 either on 4445 or via Social Media (Facebook or Instagram only) to check why it has been stopped, and ask them to re-enable it for you:  https://www.o2.co.uk/abouto2/social-media

thanks they know there is a problem with balance not showing and are so say working on it

Methods to check your balance
Call 4444: Dial 4444 for free from your mobile phone and follow the prompts to hear your balance.
Text message: Text BALANCE to 20202.
My O2 app: Download the My O2 app and sign in to view your credit.
My O2 website: Sign in to your account on the O2 website to see your balance.
Shortcode: Dial *#10# and press the call button; your balance should appear on your phone's screen. Sometimes does not work, this last one.
