Name Change but keep number

Hi, i was going to upgrade my phone today as I've finished my contract but then realised my account is in my dads name, I've read that I have to cancel my account and start again in order to change the name to mine however I want to keep my current number, is there anyway I could do this?

Hi, you need to take out a new contract in your own name then you and your dad need to speak to customer services where they will migrate the number from your dads account to your new one.

@Chloe_E  In order to get a contract, you will have to apply yourself, which will involve a credit check. Your dad would then have to cancel the present account, as it's in his name, to transfer the number to your new account. You would need to call customer service to do this, and both be on the call together.
