The Google Play app today tells me there is an update for the My O2 app. But when I try to update, it shows itself downloading a 16.47MB update file but then immediately fails - it repeats the update download several times, then throes up a 'Can't install My O2' failure message.
Has a wrong update file been uploaded?
(Phone is an Android 8.0 Alcatel 3V)

I updated to 11.0.39 earlier (it installed ok) but now I can't see any usage since my last bill.
Talking to the live chat operative, there is a new version due in the next 48 hours and wait for that (it is 10.4.61 apparently).
FYI, I am also running 8.0.

OK, thanks.
I'd already tried clearing the Play Store cache and data (and then had to reconfigure it, grrrr) and re-starting the phone. Guess I'll have to wait until this new update comes along - annoying, as with the My O2 update 'available' sitting there there's no manual check for updates button to click, which i do often to check for new beta versions for various apps that otherwise don't show for awhile.
Not that I actually use the My O2 app much, but at least the failure immediately at the end of the download means I still have the old working version actually on the phone.
I did notice that while it says the download will be 16.47MB, on the third automatic attempt the download counter goes to 17.something then very briefly 19.something before it cuts out with the final failure message.

Mine says 9.3.1!
While I have my Play app set NOT to auto-update, I do check for updates many times a day and do then trigger the updates right away. Wonder why my My O2 is so behind?

Have you tried deleting the app and then reinstalling? It should install the latest version then.

Well ... currently I have a working version, but the update download fails to update. I am concerned that if I delete the old version, then try to install the current one, if it fails like the update I won't have a working version at all.
On the other hand I use it so little, I suppose it doesn't reslly matter if I'm withlut a working version for awhile ... maybe I'll give it a try.
