I recieved a call from 02045258361 offering me 40% discount on my bills. I suspected it to be a scam and did not accept the offer. I then had a text message from O2 giving me a one time code which I did not ask for and did not use. Can someone still get into my account. My account seems OK at the moment.

As long as you didn't give the code, you are OK.

It's a well known scam.
Block the number and do not follow any links.
Forward the scam text or number to 7726 - It's free.

Provided you did not give them the code or any other information you should be OK

However, as a precaution I would change both your password and memorable information

Phishing, Smishing & Scams. Latest info & advice.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

@Richard26 Very astute of you to pick up the scam. Too bad more people aren't that sharp.

It may be a bit of a pain for you, but to protect yourself, change your account and online account passwords. Not just your O2 account. All of them.

There's so much of this garbage going on these days you just can't be careful enough.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

I had the same thing. I eve called up O2 to confirm this wasn't a scam and they said no it was not.  It is a scam. They offered me a free gift too! These scammers have basically taken a brand new Iphone out on myy account.  O2 have now passed my account to their fraud department.
