I am in "deadspot" with no signal but I have fiber internet. I want to enable Wi Fi calling. Wi-Fi is enabled on my device and connects to my Sky Router just fine.

My phone connects to my hub and works well but not for calling in or out bound nor can I receive texts. My O2 wants to send me a verification code to log in which of course, I can't receive.

Searching forums the only solution I find is that O2 need to activate Wi Fi calling on my account but I can't log in as I can't get the verification code.  A customer services numbe. 202 is given but it doesn't work (no signal?).

There is no WiFi Calling or  VoLTE on O2 PAYG

Believe giffgaff do if you want to stay PAYG

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

I am not sure that is accurate. Several posts on these forums dispute that.

From the O2 website:

You should, however, check that your device is running O2 firmware. This is the software that makes your handset turn on and off – and, sometimes, there will be different versions for the same device. WiFi and 4G Calling only work on Android devices using O2 firmware.

How do I enable 4G and Wifi Calling on my device

First, you'll need to add Wifi and 4G Calling to your account. It's quick and easy to do too.

For personal customers, please sign into My O2 and go to Device Details. From there, tap Wifi and 4G Calling – this is where you'll be able to add these features to your account.

It's 100% accurate, as I'm sure other long term members will verify

Just going by the O2 website:

Can I use WiFi and 4G Calling on an O2 SIM only contract?

Yes you can. WiFi and 4G Calling is currently available on most O2-compatible devices.

  • Transferring your personal tariff to a SIM only contract and want to add WiFi and 4G Calling? Add it to your account at no extra charge in My O2

  • Have an O2 Business SIM only contract and want to add WiFi and 4G Calling? Get in touch with your Account Manager, Digital advisor, Business Partner or Business customer services to add it to your account at no extra charge.

You can have it on a SIM only contract (that's my set up) but not a SIM classed as PAYG, such as a rolling plan.

What plan are you on?

100% no wifi calling on any O2 PAYG sim.

Only available on credit checked monthly contracts.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
