Having just taken out a new O2 contract, I'm having problems with the email addresses acceped by O2 as an id.
I wanted to use an email associated with my domain:
"o2.mobilephone@<my 18 character domain name>.co.uk"
but - although the O2 page said that the id had been updated and it had sent me a confirmation email - nothing has been delivered. I've tried this multiple times, and with some variations on the email (such as 'o2@...'. For now I'm having to use a Gmail address.
Is there some undocumented limit on the length of email addresses that will work with the O2 web site?
Or is there some email address filtering that may be preventing me from using my domain's email?

The O2 website is not the most stable or user friendly so issues like this aren't surprising.
Best to ask @Martin-O2 to make some enquiries for you.
