Which phone has the best camera?

I'm usually an Apple fan but I've found that their cameras specs aren't changing much. Taking pictures from a distance usually results in poor quality. This is one reason I'm considering hanging up my Apple boots and moving to the dark side, that is Samsung, Blackberry or Nokia.

Can anybody suggest a phone (it doesn't have to be a Samsung) with good specs, particularly for the camera?

I think @viridis is the one to answer this. I am sure he would suggest the Z5.....but I have tagged him in

I'm sure he will recommend the camera. He's posted some great photos taken with the phone.

The best camera Z5 or X (both the same but X appears sharper tbh and has the predictive auto focus ) but requires a little effort to get the best shot.
The most consistent is galaxy S7 in that it takes less effort to get the good shot but lacks the fine details of X/Z5
The most features is LG G5 or Huawei P9.

For an amateur "snapper" such as myself, my Sony's (z1 and z5) have consistently given me the best photos.
