unfair treatment by O2 a disgrace

i have been with O2 for quite a while for my broadband and on the premium tarif for family and friends.
unfortunatly my wife sadly passed away in may and so i have had to try to sort out and organise my financial needs
i received a call from O2 asking me if i was interested in home phone and at the time of asking i was in no position to do anything about it.
however a little later i phoned O2 to show interest with the home phone
i was told that i could add homephone anytime for £12 per month making a total of approx £20 month which included broadband and home phone.
i was also told i would receive 3 months free broadband.
so went ahead and took this out.
now i have received my monthly bills july £7.50 paid August £17.42 paid Sept £37.98 paid Oct £29.10 due
i have been in contact with O2 who say that my contract has changed and that the family and friends now no longer apply to me
and that because i have taken a new contract then my circumstances have changed
i was NOT told of this when i was first contacted about homephone in May
and again NOT told about this when i enquired about adding homephone
why are O2 allowed to do this to people
just when i need to get things simplified i get lumbered with this unfair and unacceptable treatment.
the fellow at costomer services i have just spoken to was very understanding and is now passing the problem to a superviser who i have been told will call me today
so i am hoping for some good news (for a change)
if not i'm OFF :robotmad:

update:
well been on the phone again to them today
very polite again as always
the guy said that i have been charged wrongly and they are trying to put it right and that should show in my next bill all being well
they have now put me on the basics package with a 20gb download
i was on the premium package unlimited @£7.50/month
the guy tells me that they had to put me on that as it is a condition of me getting homephone that i must go on one of their new packages :robotmad:
no one told me of this when i went onto homephone
it was supposed to be an add-on to my existing broadband package
and he said that should have been explained
and it was wrong of them to not tell me
but thats all that can be done
so lost my premium unlimited and must go on basics
so all in all not a very good move :robotmad:
