unfortunatly my wife sadly passed away in may and so i have had to try to sort out and organise my financial needs
i received a call from O2 asking me if i was interested in home phone and at the time of asking i was in no position to do anything about it.
however a little later i phoned O2 to show interest with the home phone
i was told that i could add homephone anytime for £12 per month making a total of approx £20 month which included broadband and home phone.
i was also told i would receive 3 months free broadband.
so went ahead and took this out.
now i have received my monthly bills july £7.50 paid August £17.42 paid Sept £37.98 paid Oct £29.10 due
i have been in contact with O2 who say that my contract has changed and that the family and friends now no longer apply to me
and that because i have taken a new contract then my circumstances have changed
i was NOT told of this when i was first contacted about homephone in May
and again NOT told about this when i enquired about adding homephone
why are O2 allowed to do this to people
just when i need to get things simplified i get lumbered with this unfair and unacceptable treatment.
the fellow at costomer services i have just spoken to was very understanding and is now passing the problem to a superviser who i have been told will call me today
so i am hoping for some good news (for a change)
if not i'm OFF :robotmad:

So why does the friends and family discount no longer apply, does the person that gave you it no longer work at o2?
i have been in touch with the person who still works there
he is on holiday at the moment half term
i do have his ein number
they said that they would contact me today but have not done so as yet
so won't be holding my breath :robotmad:

it seems that my braodband discount for family and friends has been stopped. because someone at O2 has altered my contract :robotmad:
now i cant have this reinstated
someone had put me on broadband at £15 /month :mansurprised:
i have now been put on another tarrif called basic
and need to pay £8 + £12.50 for my home broadband package
and for my home phone calls package £5/month(this information taken from my details on O2 website)
so i think i will have to pay £25.50/month
i feel i have been let down by the people who spoke to me about taking up the offer
I feel very disapointed as i have been told twice by O2 that i would have homephone(£12.50) added to my broadband package(£7.50)and also get 3 months free broadband for a payment of £20/month.
i don't know how O2 can get away with this.
and wished i'd never gone with the homephone package
sure i've been missold a contract :robotmad:

well i have now been in touch with O2 several times

You'll have been given home phone line rental £7.50 anytime calls £5 broadband basic £8 with 3 months free so £20.50 if you want friends and family discount you'll need to get the person you know at o2 to fill in the form.
and wished i'd never gone with the homephone package
sure i've been missold a contract :robotmad:

What you've used in total
i only started with homephone is late july
i don't use the phone much at all
i am deaf and find the phone a bit of a chore as i have to keep asking people to repeat things so i can understand.
so it is something that i try to avoid if possible
but since i have been connected to homephone i have had bills of
£17.42
£37.98
£29.10
this is not right surely??
