o2 Lost my number and manager told me to "Get used to it"

I have been having phone calls with o2 customer service every few days since the start of October. I was told initially there was a small error with my number transfer and it would take 24-48 more hours. After a month and a half of being told the same thing every few days, I spoke to a manager who told me that they had lost my number, when I asked what I was suppose to do he said I should but a new number and get used to it.
Absolutely disgusting customer service.

Scarily enough have heard this from a few networks, in the past, although it seems to happen more often a lately on o2..
There is nothing anyone on here can do..
